Pulled Pork

 2 medium yellow onions, thinly sliced
 4 medium garlic cloves, thinly sliced
 2 tbsp vegetable oil
 1 tbsp packed dark brown sugar
 2 tsp MIS Oregano
 ½ tsp teaspoon MIS Pork Seasoning
 1 tbsp MIS Chili Powder
 1 tbsp salt, plus more as needed
 ½ tsp MIS Ground Cumin
 ½ tsp MIS Ground Cinnamon
 ¼ tsp MIS Ground Clove
 1 1 (4 1/2 to 5-pound) boneless or bone-in pork shoulder (also known as pork buff)
 2 cups barbecue sauce (optional)

Wash pork in water and pat dry with a paper towel. Make small incisions in the pork with a knife and rub dark brown sugar, MIS Pork Seasoning, MIS Chili Powder, salt, MIS Ground Cumin, MIS Oregano, MIS Ground Cinnamon and MIS Ground Clove all over the pork. Allow to sit for at least 3 hours

Pour oil, onions and garlic into slow cooker with pork and allow to cook on low for 4 to 6 hours or until meat is tender and cooked through.

Transfer pork onto cutting board, shred meat into pieces using two forks and remove any large pieces of fat. Strain the liquid from the slow cooker into a medium bowl using a fine mesh strainer

Return pork to slow cooker and add barbeque sauce and mix p well If you prefer to use the pork liquid, using a spoon, skim off any excess fat from the surface of the liquid and pour 1/3 cup onto 4 1 shredded pork or until pork looks moistened.
